Moses, Joseph, Job, Elijah" he makes you wonder what would you as the last living breed do on planet earth but observing that question from a metaphorical perspective, there are many people who are living dead like zombies and those who are awakened  feel like they are alone in the midst of these zombies hence he uses the example of only fivers like Moses,Joseph,Elijah and Job are all biblical figures who have went through isolation and leading the nation but Cambatta calls himself the fifth and last amongst them, and that line completes the concept of the song as being Sol Supreme.

In an era where so many people lack knowledge of self , Tiye Phoenix ft Havoc of Mobb and Safa are an impeccable combination that know who they are just listen to the first of Havoc " My energy indestructible aint a substitute I been in a ring once or two" further explains he is not affected by the criticism but focused on his purpose as an artist.

On the second verse as you all know the Queen Tiye Phoenix never dissapoints in every song she drops knowledge that empowers the black community, I must confess she's one of the few beauty with brains I know in this era that can bless the mic she truly deserves the title of being a prophet. Ruste Juxx and Dj Views

Ruste Juxx is here to remind all of you he is not like these other rappers, on the main track he features Bernadette Price (the wife of the late Sean Price). He and the entire Duck Down team are committed to making sure that the legacy of Sean Price carries on which proves they are more than just a record label, they are family.

His assertive lyrics on the second track on " Ruste Muthafuckin Juxx" creates a hardcore delivery with his usual confidence.

The third track "That brand you can trust" featuring skanks the rap martyr is a New York authentic sound, Ruste has been consistent with his music which has definitely grown into a brand that you can trust just by observing the amount of albums, collaborations and features he has done for these past decades till now.

Ruste has totally proven through his work ethic that he is one of the best on the track "Reign Supreme" whether you like it or not Ruste Juxx is not like these other rappers.

Los Angeles by Jdeaay, Big Quick and Still Will

Three of the dopest emcees from the Lost Society Label Jdeeay, Still Will and Big Quick, have released their new project Los Angeles dedicated to the city that was found in 4 September 1781 (El Pueblo de la Reina de Los Angeles) the second largest city in USA the major city of California State.

I took the time to listen to these Philly emcees give their experience through some of their songs such as code of conduct by listening to the song they truly live by a code of conduct just by observing how they move as a lost society label team.

Pimp by blood was also an interesting song to listen to with a metaphorical hook " Pimp by blood not relation" The song "G Ride" is more of a laid back song that most Cali residents could jam to. In a city for artists and dreamers, plenty outdoor recreational opportunities, work life balance and filled with diversity these brothers are destined to make it.

Teru TODC

 

I had the honour to witness Caps Teru perform two of the songs on this album during the first Hip Hop Nation TV Marinate Session on 16 June, 

I listened to fundamentals to instrumentals I loved how the song goes to the basics of Emceeing and Djing, The second track of TODC "Lets be honest" is a heart to heart conversation about being truthful to ourselves mostly which is difficult to do in this technological and social media era.

"Troubled waters" is a metaphor describing the challenging times that each and every human being goes through, Teru finds ways to motivate his audience to carry on facing  their challenges and staying focus by crossing the bridge through these troubled waters.

"Omen" touches a whole lot more on philosophical ideologies I love the theme and the instrumental of the song it reminds me of  vintage or classical movies in the sixties and seventies.

Regiment on the other hand addresses identity and knowledge of self, all in all you can't afford not to listen to this album it truly is ahead of it's time

Witchcraft with Bravestarr return as the Midnight Cowboy

 Another Witchcraft production called the midnight cowboy with the first line "when the solar system collapses" questioning the cosmic event that is coming. Scientists believe  that our Sun will die ejecting a large proportion of its mass before it shrinks down to a white dwarf,
