After Months of Anticipation, South African Hip Hop duo Twenty and Ecliptic have finally released "New Dawn" EP following the positive response from their single " Love Me Down" playing on International Radio Stations, both Artists show great craftmanship through their skill as a producer and emcee
The last three songs 24/7 is an honour to all our fallen heroes and the youth of 1976 and addresses many of the new struggles today that the black youth faces and also reveals a lesson in history after all the elders say "Those who do not learn History are doomed to repeat It."
More than a crush is a typical story of a young man and woman who are genuinely in love in an era where it is difficult to express and admit true love they have for each other as society is now influenced by a culture of being "Friends with benefits" and addresses the lack of communication and insecurities that manifest when both partners do not work on their issues.
New Dawn is a celebration of the New Year in September, which creates a platform for creating awareness about the African heritage and indigenous knowledge systems.
In terms of the movement of the sun in accordance with the Solar calendar, on the 23rd of September the sun moves 1 degree to the south of the equator, thereby commencing the period of Spring in the southern hemisphere. In observance of this movement of the sun across the equator and the fact that Africans need to align with the correct time as dictated by nature.
We trust that this New EP brings new blessings in our families, communities and our continent may God preserve Africa.
