King Magnetic - Third Time's A Charm

King Magnetic Releases Third Album

It felt like yesterday when we had King Magnetic on Hip Hop Nation TV promising us that there will be projects coming from him, King Magnetic Releases Third Time's a Charm songs like "Good Day" had me motivated on my way to work able to face the day. Third time's a charm which is the track theme of the album is a fine example of lyrical prowess that amazes me it took me to the Jedi Mind era . The  "Family Discussion" reminded me during our interview how much of a family man King Magnetic is, just as "Where you from" is relatable not just to the African in the diaspora but also the African living in Africa. It addresses the social issues we can acknowledge. How many artists in 2024 can say they featured Kool G Rap? justice was served on that " Rah Rah" joint and an emotional moment experienced when you listen to "Every Single Day" brings us to a conscious moment and appreciating the gift of life

Enjoy the album Fam.

Froz ft N'Veigh n LandmarQue - Street Gawds

Allow me to take a moment to appreciate a trinity of OG's one of the finest South African Hip Hop tracks that dropped this year what better way can be executed to celebrate this 40 year Anniversary. The Street Gawdz have blessed us with a hustler knowledge and revelation this is the spreading of the Gospel take note.

Froz the true representer of Kasi Rap. The Elder N'Veigh amazes us consistently with his metaphoric barz and The Wise Lyricist Land Marque concludes the song, with their perfect delivery and lyricism of The Plug, The Boss and The Kingpin sharing their experiences and roles, the streets will appreciate this joint no other rappers can speak on behalf of the streets better than these three.

New Dawn EP

After Months of Anticipation, South African Hip Hop duo Twenty and Ecliptic have finally released "New Dawn" EP following the positive response from their single " Love Me Down" playing on International Radio Stations, both Artists show great craftmanship through their skill as a producer and  emcee

The last three songs 24/7 is an honour to all our fallen heroes and the youth of 1976 and addresses many of the new struggles today that the black youth faces and also reveals a lesson in history after all the elders say "Those who do not learn History are doomed to repeat It."

More than a crush is a typical story of a young man and woman who are genuinely in love in an era where it is difficult to express and admit true love they have for each other as society is now influenced by a culture of being "Friends with benefits" and addresses the lack of communication and insecurities that manifest when both partners do not work on their issues.

New Dawn is a celebration of the New Year in September, which creates a platform for creating awareness about the African heritage and indigenous knowledge systems.

In terms of the movement of the sun in accordance with the Solar calendar, on the 23rd of September the sun moves 1 degree to the south of the equator, thereby commencing the period of Spring in the southern hemisphere. In observance of this movement of the sun across the equator and the fact that Africans need to align with the correct time as dictated by nature.

We trust that this New EP brings new blessings in our families, communities and our continent may God preserve Africa.

Thato Phumo

In this episode of "In the Limelight," we are joined by Thato Phumo, also known as @tlou_pride. Join us as we explore her photographic journey

Youtube: https://ow.ly/fi7v50PKYoL

Meet Thato:

"I'm a black female born in Vryburg, raised in Koster, and currently residing in Hartbeespoort—a true embodiment of a small-town girl. My photography journey began quite serendipitously when people stumbled upon snapshots of my nephew on Facebook, and they inquired about booking my services. Impulsively, I sought out training opportunities and, to my delight, discovered that DPC came highly recommended. I embarked on my photography education with them, starting with the beginner's course and delving into topics like lighting and natural light training.

As I honed my skills, I identified my true passion within the field—capturing the beauty of maternity and babies. To further enhance my expertise, I decided to pursue international training. I had the incredible opportunity to meet with Ana Brandt in Hong Kong for specialized maternity and newborn training. While I've ventured into wedding and event photography, studio work remains my unwavering passion.

What truly humbles me is the support I receive from clients who travel from as far as Mafikeng and Venda. Their love and loyalty inspire me to continually invest in my training and stay at the forefront of the industry. Moreover, I've had the privilege of being booked for photography sessions in Dubai and Kenya. It's an experience I hope to embrace more frequently when I eventually retire. 😊📷"
